Preschool  The Daughters of Charity Preschool

The Daughters of Charity Preschool is under the direction of Sister Theresa Tremblay.

Our day care preschool cares for children on scholarship or at very minimal fees so that their parents can hold jobs. The program operates on a full-day, full-year schedule and lunch and snacks are provided daily.

Accredited by the National Association of Child Care Professionals as well as the State of Connecticut, our preschool operates with four teachers and two volunteers for a class maximum of 20 children. This high teacher-to-student ratio allows us to give the children unconditional love and emotional security as they develop a sense of trust and consideration for others and enjoy opportunities to be creative and resourceful.

Preschool increases the readiness of children for entering school. Studies have shown  that children who've had a high quality preschool experience are more likely to graduate from high school and be employed.

Our goal is to provide high quality day care to all children of all ethnic backgrounds.
The program's major focus is to prepare the children with the skills and memory to facilitate their entry into Kindergarten.

Our preschool encourages children to grow in awareness of self and others through the love of God while experiencing the joy of learning in a caring atmosphere.

We have many opportunities for volunteers. For more information, please contact us at 203-334-7000 from 7 AM to 4 PM.
